About Jenna + Andre

We are Jenna and Andre Palomino of fickleZEAL Pictures. A husband and wife photography team that enjoy experiencing amazing adventures together! We pride ourselves in "preserving life's fickle moments".

We are currently are located in the great state of Texas! Before Texas, we lived in Europe for 4 years while serving in the military. We met and fell in love with each other almost instantly. It was a very Shakespearean "Romeo and Juliet" type of young love. We both were from extremely different families but we shared something in common that is stronger than anything that has ever been created ::: true love.

Even though we were stationed apart for our first year in Europe, it gave us the excuse to travel and see as many cities as our bi-weekly paychecks would allow. We traveled throughout Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, France, Spain, etc. We looked at our 4-year tour in Europe as an extended honeymoon. We not only frequented some of the most romantic places in the world (Verona, Venice, Salzburg and Paris being a few of our favorite cities) but we attempted to fully indulge ourselves in the rich cultures, food and art. With every new location we fell more in love with each other, the tastes, the sites, the sounds, the art, the people, the adventure. We were bitten by the "travel bug" and sought out new experiences to create together.

After a 4-year honeymoon in Europe, the military stationed us back in Texas [San Antonio]. Jenna became pregnant and decided to separate from the military to lay strong foundation for a family. Jenna had to continue to be creative so Andre finally saved enough money to purchase their first real camera; with a removable lens. Jenna would create studio shoots with her newborn son with whatever backdrops she could and began learning her camera settings. Andre encouraged her and assisted in trying to explain each setting the best he could.

A couple of years later and after a trip to Peru, South America and Hawaii, Lana Nikole was born. At birth, she was diagnosed with Down syndrome. Not knowing anything about this syndrome Jenna joined forums and Andre researched everything he could to find possible limitations and then how to prevent these limitations. Together we took on this diagnosis to provide the best type of life our daughter could achieve. Within this research and intervention a picture was presented of Lana a couple of days after her birth. The picture immediately removed the view of a diagnosis and presented us with our beautiful daughter. Right then we both realized the power of photography and Jenna started her photography business. Andre supported Jenna in every endeavor she had ever pursued and even followed her to shoots to hold a reflector or keep her company. These mini “adventure-dates” helped to itch that “travel-bug” that still bites very often. After a very long day for a Down syndrome awareness shoot, Andre pieced together his first movie and posted it to YouTube. A new found passion was discovered and his acceptance into fickleZEAL was awarded. ) Together, we seek out new adventures to experience and document that not only intrigues us but also allows us to learn and grow from each person’s story that we come in contact with.

We have family all over the United States and several abroad. We love to travel and meet all types of people. Through our travels we realize that each person is unique and everyone has a remarkable story to share. Who knows, we might end up in your neck of the woods sometime.
